Our Story
From Tragedy to Triumph — A Journey Rooted in Resilience
Kinyana coffee is a company of coffee farmers and producers owned by women 100% it was founded in 2024 where it grows organic coffee, process and sell coffee both Full washed and Natural coffee.
After the devastating 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi happened in Rwanda two Rwandan daughters Emerance Tuyishime and Lois Niyonsenga from a widow who is their mother,
They choose not to surrender to despair and not to be the burden to the government. With strength forged from loss, and a vision rooted in hope, they returned back to their parents sourced land of 6 Ha left with their father and started growing coffee trees and 12,000 coffee trees were managed to be planted in 2024-year season.
In the hills near Nyungwe National Forest, the two sisters began cultivating coffee sowing not just coffee, but the seeds of resilience, self-reliance, and community especially their fellow farmers their work with day by day and upliftment in their Rwandan community in general.
What started as a humble survival effort has since grown into a beacon for youth and women, across the region proving that healing, prosperity, and leadership can grow from the soil of sorrow.
Our farm is located in Nyamagabe district mountains in Kasemazi hill Where the 12,000 coffee planted , the soil is sandy in the mountains of 1779-2000m, where it favors our coffee to be grown.
